Positivity is one of the greatest traits a person can have and develop for adults and children. Teaching children at an early age about being positive in life will help them develop into real adults in life.
With so much going on in the world today, where it seems negativity is outweighing positive vibes, we need to start now at an early age by teaching our children to be positive. By being positive, it can have a geat impact on their future.
Positivity in people can definitely change the world we live in. But first, as parents, we have to be the teacher for our kids. We always have to keep a positive mindset. We must be optimistic during situations where we may feel defeated and lost.
One of the ways to teach a child about being positive is just simply having a conversation with him/her. It could be something simple like “what good thing happened in school today?” Help them identify something that brought happiness and satisfaction to them. Always remember to focus on the good and not the failures that they may have. I always want to focus on my son’s great accomplishments. This will keep him in a happy, positive mood, no matter what.
Another great way to teach child positivity is to show them the influence God has in their lives. Without God in our lives, I believe we are nothing. Because of my beliefs, I’m teaching to my son or anyone that may need support that we need God. God will give us the confidence and security that we need. We will be okay no matter what.
Every night before we go to bed, I teach my son to say a prayer ask God to help us to get through our everyday struggles. With God, we can have that positive mindset. With him, we will make it thru anything that life or the devil throws at us. I have faith that he will do that for us.
As parents, we must also teach children not to stress but instead feel blessed. Yes, life is not always perfect. There will be times we lose and feel defeated. But we must never let that get to us. I always say we should feel blessed to experience those moments because we are learning.
Without positivity, we will lose, and we won’t grow as people. We must get rid of the negative thoughts that we have in our minds. As adults by planting seeds of positive thoughts in our children’s minds will allow our kids to blossom into a great influential people for the future generation of this world.
My number one rule is “keep your head up, no matter how bad a situation may be.” Just remember to remain positive and smile! Every situation can and will get better. Pray about it. Like I always say, we as parents must be the model by being positive ourselves!
So, remember to smile, to enjoy your day, to keep your head up and to thank God!
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
